MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: During the overnight hours of June 23, 2007, unknown culprit/s/ broke the windows to a Pontiac Firebird which was parked at a residence in Lusby, MD. Culprit/s/ removed property from the vehicle. TFC S. Johns is investigating.

THEFT: During the afternoon hours on June 24, 2007, an unknown culprit/s/ stole a cell phone which was left unattended in a public park. Investigation is being conducted by TFC S. Johns.

THEFT: Sometime between June 21, 2007 and June 25, 2007, unknown culprit/s/ stole a victim’s credit card information to purchase merchandise in Anne Arundel County. The investigation is being conducted by TPR Chirichella.

POSSESSION OF CDS: During a routine traffic stop at Bay Avenue and Chestnut Avenue, Chesapeake Beach, MD, Walter Edward HILSON, 31, Huntingtown, MD, was found in possession of CDS (marijuana), and CDS paraphernalia. Subject was placed under arrest and taken to the Prince Frederick Barrack for routine processing. Hilson was charged with Driving while Suspended, Operating a Motor Vehicle on Suspended Tags, Possession of CDS, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Hilson was incarcerated in the Calvert County Detention Center. The arrest was made by TPR Saucerman and TFC Stein.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On June 28, 2007 @ 7:42 AM, a call was received regarding a disorderly juvenile in the Huntingtown, MD area. Investigation revealed that a 9 year old juvenile was refusing to cooperate with his mother by pulling his mother’s hair, kicking the driver’s seat and kicking the windows of his mother’s vehicle. The child was placed in police custody and transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing. After processing, the juvenile was released to the custody of his mother.

THEFT: Sometime during the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, an unknown culprit/s/ entered the Sunderland Elementary School, and stole a wallet from an employee from Saint Leonard, MD. The investigation is being handled by SGT L. Titus.

POSSESSION OF CDS: On June 28, 2007, while conducting a patrol check in the area of Forbidden Beach located in North Beach, MD, several juveniles were found sitting on the beach. Contact with the juveniles revealed one juvenile from Huntingtown, MD, to be in possession of CDS. The juvenile was arrested and taken to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing. The juvenile was released to his/her parents. Investigation was conducted by TPR Saucerman and TFC Stein.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: On June 28, 2007, the Prince Frederick Barrack received a call for the theft of a motor vehicle. The owner of the vehicle, Donna Williams, Prince Frederick, MD, advised that the last time she saw her vehicle was on June 28, 2007 @ 6:30 PM. While investigating the theft, a lookout was given, and the vehicle was located in the area of MD Route 231 at Adelina Road, Prince Frederick, MD. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Investigation conducted by TPR Roy.

POSSESSION OF CDS: On June 29, 2007 @ 5:40 PM, during a Sobriety Checkpoint, a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was stopped. The operator, Daniel Edward McGraw, 46, of North Beach, MD, was placed under arrest for DUI. McGraw was then taken to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing. While at the Barrack, a routine search of the subject was conducted, and CDS (marijuana), and CDS paraphernalia was located on the subject. He was charged with CDS violations. The investigation was conducted by TPR Ewig.

THEFT: On the evening of June 30, 2007, the victim was attending a party with several friends in Port Republic, MD area. During the party, another person at the party, stole the victim’s 2002 Honda Accord. The culprit also stolen a GPS receiver, a FM tuner and IPod accessories, an Apple IPod, black in color, and US currency from another victim at the same party. A lookout has been given, and charges have been applied for the culprit. Investigation is continuing by TFC Lass.

POSSESSION OF CDS: On July 2, 2007 at 7:30 AM, during a routine traffic stop, David Chancie McDonald, 23, Prince Frederick, MD, was placed under arrest for an outstanding bench warrant. Search incident o his arrest revealed CDS. The subject was charged with possession of CDS, processed and taken to the Calvert County Detention Center. Arrest was made by TPR Ewig.

POSSESSION OF CDS: On July 3, 2007 at 12:02 AM, during a routine traffic stop, a juvenile from Port Republic, MD was stopped for traffic violations. During the traffic stop, CDS (marijuana), was located in the subject’s vehicle. The juvenile was placed under arrest and charged with CDS Possession. The juvenile was released to his/her parents. Investigation conducted by TPR Chirichella.
