Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: DFC Joseph Windsor responded to a home on Plum Point Road in Huntingtown on May 29 for a theft report. The victim stated that sometime that day between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) had stolen his blue 2001 Yamaha Banshee 4-wheeler valued at $3000. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Windsor at 410-535-2800.

DISORDERLY: DFC James Smith and DFC Eric Basham were on foot patrol in the area of Bay Ave and 5th Street in North Beach on May 29 at 10:45 p.m. They observed a suspect, later identified as Kristofer Scaggs, 18, of Owings, shouting profanities. Scaggs was told to stop using profane language and to leave the area but he refused. Scaggs was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

DOP: Dep. Carl Fischer responded to the American Legion on H.G. Truman Road in Lusby in response to an alarm on May 30 at 2:30 in the morning. Dep. Fischer observed a chip in the glass of the front door but it did not appear that entry had been made. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Fischer at 410-535-2800.

DOP: A home on Dalrymple Road in Sunderland was damaged with paintballs on May 31 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Dep. Thomas Rickard is investigating.

BURGLARY: A seventeen-year-old male of St. Leonard was arrested and charged with burglary and theft on a youth report and released to a parent on June 1st. Dep. Richard Weems responded to a home on Poplar Road in St. Leonard and was told by the victim that $300 had been stolen from the home that day between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Weems developed a suspect and made contact with the juvenile, charging him.

BURGLARY: On June 1st Dep. Richard Cox responded to a home in the 2300 block of Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick for a reported burglary. The victim stated that between the dates of May 25 and June 1 unknown suspect(s) entered the residence, damaged numerous items and stole some bottles of wine. The damage is estimated at $5500. The stolen items total $500. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Cox at 410-535-2800.

BURGLARY: A home on Mackall Road in St. Leonard was burglarized between May 20 and June 2. Dep. Richard Cox responded and was advised by the victim's son that two television sets, valued at $350, were missing. Dep. Cox is continuing the investigation.

UNUSUAL: On May 19 at around 5:00 p.m. off-duty Calvert County Sheriff's Cpl. Roscoe Jones observed two persons in the median in front of Calvert Memorial Hospital involved in a struggle. One of the subjects, later determined to be a security officer of the hospital, was attempting to detain a patient, later identified as Virginia M. Quesenberry, 24, of Chesapeake Beach, who was striking the security officer in the face and head with a closed fist. The scuffle began when Quesenberry fled the hospital and was pursued by the security officer who asked her to return to the hospital. Quesenberry apparently repeatedly struck the officer and then fled into the northbound lanes of Solomons Island Road and into the median. Cpl. Jones rendered assistance until DFC J. Angle arrived, placed Quesenberry in handcuffs and charged her with second degree assault.
