LA PLATA, Md. - The Charles County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On May 22 at 3 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the Holiday Inn located at 45 St. Patrick’s Drive in Waldorf for the report of suspected drug use. Upon arrival, officers detected the odor of burnt marijuana and a subsequent search of the room revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The occupants of the room, Sharieefah Faradah Cooper, 24, and Quawee Amir Jones, 23, both of Atlanta, Ga., were charged with possession of marijuana. Further information revealed Cooper was wanted in New Jersey for larceny and she was subsequently charged with being a fugitive from justice. They were being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner. Officer P. Sady investigated.
