LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
On Monday, May 21, 2007 at 4:11 pm, Tpr. C. Evans responded to a reported malicious destruction of property to a motor vehicle at the Spring Ridge Middle School. Contact was made with the complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) broke out one of the windows in her red Toyota minivan. No further information is available, investigation continues.
On Monday, May 21, 2007 at 11:26 pm, TFC Rezza initiated a traffic stop on a silver Dodge Intrepid on Route 235 in the area of Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with the driver, William Patrick Russell, Jr., 21, of Leonardtown. An odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath and the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Russell was arrested for DUI/DWI. A search incident to arrest revealed a plastic baggie of marijuana was found in the vehicle. Mr. Russell was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with possession of marijuana and DUI/DWI. He was held pending a bond review. Additionally, contact was also made with John Michael William Snavely, 21, of Hollywood. He was charged on a Civil Citation for providing alcohol to two underage female passengers in the vehicle.
On Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 7:15 pm, TFC Linger initiated a traffic stop on a red Cadillac on All Faiths Church Road in Mechanicsville for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with the driver, Terrell Wayne Vaughan, 22, of Nanjemoy and the passenger, Terrence Ryan Warren, 23, of Welcome. During the course of the traffic stop, TFC Linger observed a box and cellophane bag thrown from the vehicle which was recovered. Both items contained cocaine weighing 37.2 grams. A search incident to the arrest revealed 5.7 grams of marijuana located in the vehicle. Mr. Vaughan was arrested for possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Warren was arrested for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. They were both transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
On May 22, Tuesday, 2007 at 8:50 pm, Tpr. McCartney responded to a reported juvenile assault in the 22000 Scott Circle in Lexington Park. Contact was made with the complainant who advised her 12 year old son had assaulted his brothers. The 12 year old juvenile was charged with 2nd degree assault and released back to the custody of his mother pending further action by Juvenile Services.
On Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 12:23 am, TFC Rezza initiated a traffic stop on a white Honda Accord at the WaWa gas station at Route 4 and Route 235 in California for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with the driver, Linh Ngoc Pham, 31, of Prince Frederick and an odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Pham was arrested for DUI/DWI. A MVA check revealed Mr. Pham's driving privileges to drive in Maryland are suspended. A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Pham was in possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. He was charged with DUI/DWI, driving on a suspended license and possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
