Wilson noticed Gilliam’s eyes were red and watery and his speech was slightly slurred. There was a very strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. Tpr. Wilson had Gilliam perform standardized field sobriety test, which he failed. Gilliam was then arrested for driving under the influence. The passenger, Cornel Arthur Pearson was removed from the vehicle and the vehicle was searched incident to arrest. A partially burned marijuana cigarette was found in the ash tray of the vehicle, which Gilliam stated that it was his and not Pearson’s. Gilliam was transported to the Maryland State Police La Plata Barrack for processing. He was then transported to the Charles County Detention Center for further processing. Gilliam was charged with the following: Did possess a controlled dangerous substance of schedule I, to wit: marijuana; and the following citations: DUI; DUI Per SE; DWI and exceeding the maximum speed limit.

On May 21, 2007, at approximately 10:48 a.m., Trooper K. Clark responded to a 911 simulcast in Waldorf, involving a domestic dispute at Lakewood Drive, Waldorf, Maryland. The incident resulted in Curtis Anthony Graham, 42 years, of Waldorf, assaulting Lucas in the first degree with a baseball bat. Graham was also charged with Malicious Destruction of Property for breaking the window and mirror off Lucas’ vehicle. Graham was transported to the Charles County Detection Center for processing.
