Dispute in Solomons Turns Ugly: Two Assaulted by Motor Vehicle

SOLOMONS, Md. - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today reported that two Calvert residents had suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle driven by an acquaintance of theirs. The assault was apparently instigated by a verbal argument between the parties. Both victims were taken to hospitals for their injuries. One remains in critical condition. Charges against the unnamed suspect are pending, say police.

On Sunday, May 13 at approximately 10:14 p.m., members of the Calvert County Sheriff's Office responded to Creston Lane in Solomons for the report of an assault by a motor vehicle. Tomco, Jr., 48, of Solomons, had suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle driven by an acquaintance of theirs after a verbal argument between the parties.
