CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. - On Monday, May 7, 2007 at approximately 2:30 a.m., St. Mary's County Sheriff's patrol units responded to the Dash In convenience store and gas station located at the intersection of Golden Beach Road and Maryland Rt. 5, Charlotte Hall, Maryland, for the report of an armed robbery. Detectives from the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) responded and assumed the investigation.
Detectives determined that a suspect wearing a mask entered the store and brandished a handgun. The suspect pointed the handgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and the suspect then fled the store.
