Forum provides students an opportunity to learn more about a career in the United States Military
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD) will host the 26th Annual U.S. Academy and Military Career Forum at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro on Monday, April 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A brief program will begin at 7:00 p.m. with remarks from Commander Michael DeRosa, Assistant Director of Admissions and Financial Aid for the Merchant Marine Academy, and Congressman Hoyer.
Every year Congressman Hoyer nominates candidates from the 5th Congressional District for admission to all four United States service academies: The U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York (Army), the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York.
This forum provides students an opportunity to learn more about a career in the United States Military and will feature representatives of the U.S. Service Academies, local University ROTC Programs and Military Service Recruiters.
