LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
On Monday, April 16, 2007 at 2:15 pm, TFC Linger responded to the Great Mills Tobacco Shop, 21500 Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for a reported theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the suspect, a 12 year old juvenile male to the rear of the establishment. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath and he was yelling profanities. During the investigation, the juvenile male was arrested for theft under $100, public intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was released at the scene to his parent pending action by Juvenile Services.
On Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 11:11 pm, TFC Grimes initiated a traffic stop on a gold Plymouth van on Indian Bridge Road in California for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with the driver, Jeffrey Brandon Judge, 18, of Hollywood. A strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Judge was found to be in possession of four CDS smoking devices. He was arrested for possession of CDS paraphernalia and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
On Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 4:31 pm, TFC Linger initiated a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet truck on Route 235 north of FDR Blvd. in Lexington Park for equipment violations. Contact was made with the driver, John Wesley Harvey, 40, of Prince Frederick. A clear plastic bag of cocaine was observed on the floor board of the vehicle. Mr. Harvey was arrested for possession of cocaine and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
