DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On April 9 at 4 p.m., Charles County Sheriffs officers responded to a residence under construction in the 3400 block of Amberton Court in Waldorf for the report of property destruction. Investigation revealed two 14-year-old Waldorf boys wrote graffiti on the interior walls and shattered three windows. Both boys were charged as juveniles with destruction of property valued at more than $500 and were released to their parents. Cpl. C. McCue investigated.

The Charles County Sheriffs Office and Charles County Crime Solvers are asking for the publics assistance in identifying the suspects involved in a recent armed robbery.
On April 6 at 12:40 p.m., Charles County Sheriffs officers responded to the Mattawoman BP located at 2050 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed two male suspects entered the store wearing masks. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and they forced their way behind the counter. They attempted unsuccessfully to open the cash register and fled the scene. Two employees that were working fled the store and were not harmed. The suspects were seen leaving in a black Ford Explorer with tan trim.
About 20 minutes prior to the robbery, an unmasked suspect exited the same SUV and entered the store. He looked around the store and eventually bought a bottle of water and left. He is believed to have been casing the store.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspects or information regarding the vehicle is asked to call Detective J. Austin at 301-609-6504 or Charles County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the suspects arrest or indictment.
