MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

On Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 11:10 pm, TFC Linger responded to the WAWA on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for a reported subject with a knife. Contact was made with David Lee Garrison, 50, of Lexington Park. Mr. Garrison was arrested for assault 2nd degree and public intoxication. A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Garrison was in possession of prescription medications not prescribed to him. Mr. Garrison was charged with possession of CDS, assault 2nd degree and public intoxication. He was transported to St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 2:29 am, TFC Linger initiated a traffic stop on a brown Honda Accord at Rt. 5 and Rt. 489 in Park Hall for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver, Jerel Darnell Owens, 20, of Callaway and the passengers, Jawaan Montell Carroll, 22 of Mechanicsville and Trey Dominic Barnes, 20, of Lexington Park. During the course of the traffic stop, an odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. A plastic baggie containing marijuana residue was located in the vehicle. Mr. Owens, Mr. Carroll and Mr. Barnes were arrested for possession of marijuana. They were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 4:37 pm, TFC Moore responded to the 23000 block of Brown Road in Hollywood for a reported theft of an ATV. Contact was made with the 22 year old female victim, who advised her green 2006 Bombardi Outlander ATV was stolen from the shed. Investigation is continuing.

On Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 12:57 am, TFC McCartney responded to the 46000 block of Valley Court in Lexington Park for a reported loud disturbance. Tpr. McCartney made contact with the suspects; Nathan Tyrell Galloway, 22, of Temple Hills, Branden Lane Welday, 19, of Great Mills, Antonio Venari Perkins, 19, of Lexington Park and Brandi Marie Beckett, 23, of Lexington Park inside the residence. Tpr. McCartney observed in plain view a partially burnt marijuana cigar in the living room. Additional marijuana and 2 CDS smoking devices were located in the kitchen. All four individuals were arrested for possession of marijuana and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 1:42 am, TFC Linger initiated a traffic stop on a green Toyota Camry on St. John's Road in Hollywood for speeding. Contact was made with the driver, Edward Joseph McGolrick, 3rd, 19, of Hollywood. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. McGolrick was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested for possession of marijuana and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 5:08 pm, TFC Koch responded to a reported assault in the 17000 block of Second Street in Tall Timbers. During the course of the investigation, contact was made with the accused, Eric Vincent Moore, 25, of Tall Timbers. Mr. Moore was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Sunday, April 8, 2007 at 1:33 am, TFC Linger responded to a reported assault with a knife in the 45000 block of Oregon Way in Lexington Park. Contact was made with the suspect, Nicholas Steven Clarke, 34, of Lexington Park. During the course of the investigation, Mr. Clarke was arrested for 2nd Degree Domestic Assault. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.

On Sunday, April 8, 2007 at 11:26 am, TFC Quade initiated a traffic stop on a red Pontiac Grand Am for exceeding the posted speed limit on Rt. 235, south of Rt. 246 in Lexington Park. Contact was made with the driver, Donald John Thorne, 32, of Lusby. A MVA check revealed Mr. Thorne's driving privileges in Maryland are revoked. He was arrested for driving on a revoked license. A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Thorne was in possession of a CDS smoking device with marijuana. He was charged with possession of CDS paraphernalia and other traffic related charges. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
