MTA to Present Plan to St. Marys County Planning Commission on Monday April 9th
ST. MARY'S COUNTY, Md. - The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is planning to develop a new park and ride lot in the New Market area of St. Marys County. The purpose of the project is to provide additional parking for the increasing number of riders on the Nos. 903, 905 and 909 commuter bus lines that travel between St. Marys County and Washington D.C.
The proposed lot would provide approximately 500 spaces on 7 acres of a 45-acre site owned by the County and located near the intersection of MD 5 and MD 6.
The MTA will be making a presentation on the proposed lot to the St. Marys County Planning Commission on Monday April 9th, 2007 to gain County approval on the project before moving forward.
