Hoyer Scheduled to Conduct Business in So. Md. on Wed.

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. - Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD) is scheduled to spend Wednesday, April 11, 2007 in Southern Maryland on business.

On Wednesday, April 11, Hoyer will attend the Maryland Economic Development Association Spring Conference to deliver remarks on how federal, state, and local entities can work together to prepare for BRAC-related changes, namely the challenges associated with the anticipated addition of tens of thousands of new jobs to the state over the next ten years. Maryland State Cabinet Secretaries David W. Edgerley (MDBED) and John D. Porcari (MDOT) will also address the conference.

The conference is scheduled to be held at the J.T. Daugherty Center in Lexington Park.

Hoyer will also attend a luncheon hosted by the Charles County Chamber of Commerce to deliver a legislative update on the successes of the first 100 days of the 110th Congress and how those successes translate into benefits for Charles County and the State of Maryland.

The luncheon is scheduled to be held at Middleton Hall in Waldorf.
