Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

CDS VIOLATIONS

On April 1 at 2:10 a.m. Dep. Carl Fischer was on a traffic stop for a suspected under the influence driver at N. Catalina and Dry Creek Drive in Lusby. A search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Jeffrey O. Sullivan, 18, of Lusby was taken into custody and charged with DWI and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

On March 26 at 2:26 a.m. DFC Richard Figueiras conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling over the center line at Md. Rt. 4 and Lord Baltimore Road in Owings. The driver, later identified as Ernest Z. Tuten, 29, of Waldorf, failed several standard field sobriety tests. During a search incident to arrest, DFC Figueiras discovered suspected marijuana. Tuten was charged with DWI and possession of marijuana.

Dep. Shawn Morder conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle whose occupant(s) was suspected of possible controlled dangerous substance violations while in the area of 9th Street and Dayton Avenue in North Beach. On March 30 at 5:01 p.m., a 15-year-old male of North Beach was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, was charged on a youth report and released to the custody of a parent.

DFC Eric Basham conducted a traffic stop on Bay Ave in North Beach on March 30 at 1:06 a.m. on a vehicle for failure to have properly working vehicle lights. He approached the driver, later determined to be a 17-year-old male from Upper Marlboro, and could smell the odor of alcohol coming from his person. The youth was charged with DWI on a youth report and released to the custody of a parent. A passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Kieran T. McNeil, 19, of Upper Marlboro, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and was arrested and charged.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

A victim on Bayside Road in St Leonard reported to Dep. John Bonville that his home had four windows broken between March 29 and March 30. Dep. Aaron Locke had responded to the home on March 29 and learned that three windows, totaling $300 in damage, had been broken by an unknown object. The fourth window had been broken overnight. Total damage to the four windows is $450. Dep. Bonville will continue the investigation.

A large front window on a home on Hillside Road in St. Leonard was broken on March 31 at around 10:45 p.m. The damage is estimated at $400. Dep. James Bell will investigate.

Another home on Golden West Way in Lusby was the target of the same destruction to a large front window on April 1 at approximately 9:16 p.m. The homeowner reports the damage is $200. Dep. Robert Burggraff will continue the investigation.

Over $200 in damage was done to property along Cassell Blvd. in Prince Frederick on April 1 at 12:20 in the morning. Four mailboxes, three fence rails and a FOR SALE sign were damaged. Cpl. Thomas Phelps will continue the investigation.

DISORDERLY

A disorderly patron at the Rod 'N Reel Restaurant in Chesapeake Beach was placed under arrest on March 31 at 7:46 p.m. by DFC Shawn Morder. The man, Francis O. Merchantdise, 46, of Largo, refused to stop yelling and then laid down in the parking lot. He was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to obey a lawful order.
