St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

Deputy James Maguire charged Michael Stanislaus Abell (Age 51 of Leonardtown) with carrying a handgun, with a permit, while under the influence of alcohol.

Ann Young was charged with delivering contraband to an inmate. Suspect Young delivered a pair of shoes that contained cigarettes hiden in the soles. The contraband was located during a search of the property being delivered by a Correctional Officer. Deputy James Maguire served the Criminal Summons.

Tara Lettle Somerville (Age 36 of Richmond, Virginia) was charged with passing a worthless check. The check was valued at more than $27.00. Deputy Michael George was the charging Deputy.

Ian Richard Simpson (Age 38 of Lexington Park) was charged with passing a bad check. The check was valued at more than $36.00. Deputy Patrick Handy served the summons.

Mitchell Deonta Dickerson (Age 20 of Great Mills) was charged on a Criminal Summons with Assault Second Degree. Suspect Dickerson was identified as the suspect who struck an undisclosed victim in the face with a bottle. The victim was struck in the left eye while dancing during a party at a local banquet hall. The victim was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment.

Deputy David Corcoran served a Criminal Summons on Darrian Lorenzo Johnson (Age 18 of St. Inigoes) for Burglary Second Degree and Five (5) counts of Theft over $500.00. Suspect Johnson was charged with his part of the theft of nearly $18,000.00 worth of motorcycles. All of the motorcycles were recovered and returned to the victim.

Ashley Nicole Bellere (Age 18 of Clements) was charged by Deputy James Maguire for Telephone Misuse. Suspect Bellere called the victim and threatened the victim and her unborn child.

Deputy Michael George responded to a vehicle fire on the roadside in Hollywood. The suspect, Glen Allen Lokey (Age 38 of Hughesville) advised the vehicle he was towing was his and had caught fire. Further investigation revealed the suspect had stolen the vehicle from a Hollywood home and it was enroute to Washington D.C. to be sold.

Deputy David Cowan located a vehicle that was operated by Joy Lynn Shafer (Age 45 of Lorton, Virginia) which had been reported by a citizen for reckless driving. Upon contacting Suspect Shafer Deputy Cowan noted that there was intoxicated behavior by her, without the presence of alcohol. There was a quantity of PCP recovered from inside the vehicle and Suspect Shafer was charged with possession of PCP. Charges are pending the results of testing related to Driving under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Deputy James Maguire was on patrol when he observed five (5) males enter a public restroom in the Hollywood area upon noticing the uniformed officer. Deputy Maguire attempted to enter the restroom, but the door was locked. Contact was made with John Wesley Springer (Age 20 of California, Md.) and he was found to be in possession of a syringe containing cocaine, a spoon covered with cocaine residue and cotton filter.

Deputy Kevin Meyer responded to a California Store for the reported assault. Upon arrival he found that the suspect, Stanley Iguatius Armstrong Jr. (Age 38 of Mechanicsville) had been in an altercation with the victim. Suspect Armstrong Jr. approached the vehicle and spit in the victim's face, before going inside the store. The suspect was located and as he was interviewed he was belligerent and uncooperative. Suspect Armstrong Jr. shouted profanities and was advised he was under arrested. He violently resisted, but was placed into custody. He was charged with numerous counts.

Charles Scott Moy Jr. (Age 26 of Waldorf, Md) was arrested on a warrant by Deputy Robert Gill for Failure to Appear. The warrant was through Charles County District Court.

Sheane David Ambos (Age 22 of No Fixed Address) was arrested by Deputy Robert Russell for breaking and entering a California business and stealing items that were valued over $500.00.

Darryl Boyd (Age 20 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy William Waters for Failure to Appear.

Roger Lee Sexton (Age 54 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy John Logalbo for Failure to Appear, Failure to Pay Child Support and a Grand Jury Indictment for Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute.

Joshua Thomas Martin (Age 19 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy William Waters for Contempt of Court.

Crystal Gayle Thompson (Age 27 of Mechanicsville) was arrested by Deputy Elizabeth Trossbach for Failure to Appear.

Robert Oscar Newland (Age 20 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy William Waters for Failure to Appear.

James Ralph Kelly (Age 56 of Leonardtown) was arrested for Failure to Appear by Corporal Kathleen Dassing.

Fabian Monsivasia Tenorio (Age 23 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy John Logalbo for Driving While Intoxicated.

Donnie Cordell Bradley (Age 41 of Leonardtown) was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated by Deputy Elizabeth Trossbach. It was Suspect Bradley's third (3rd) arrest for alcohol related traffic violations.
