LA PLATA, Md. - The Charles County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.
ARMED ROBBERY: On March 28 at 12:33 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed the victim, a 21-year-old Waldorf woman, was at the end of Harvest Fish Place near Irish Lord Place in Waldorf when she was approached by a male suspect with a shirt covering his face and an unknown silver object in his hand, which appeared to be a knife. The suspect grabbed her purse, which was on the hood of her vehicle, and fled the area.
The suspect is 6 feet tall, weighs 200 pounds and was wearing a black leather jacket. The victim was not injured. Officers, including a K9 team, conducted a search but did not locate the suspect.
