St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

Douglas Howell Brown Sr. (Age 51 of Charlotte Hall) was arrested by Deputy Michael George. The warrant was through the Circuit Court for Charles County related to more than $10,000.00 in arrearage in Child Support.

William Franklin Broadus (Age 56 of No Fixed Address) was arrested for two (2) open Child Support warrants through Washington County, Maryland. Deputy David Corcoran was the arresting Deputy.

John Henry Janifer (Age 36 of Nanjemoy, Maryland) was arrested by Corporal Christopher Morley for Violation of Parole.

Alvin Rawlings Thorne 3rd (Age 51 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Michael George for an outstanding warrant through Prince George's County. The warrant was related to four counts of Violation of Probation, which was issued in 1988.

Steven Preston Yates (Age 56 of Loveville) was arrested by Deputy Timothy Butler for Failure to Appear.

David Keith Blend (Age 41 of Mechanicsville) was arrested by Deputy Keith Moritz for an open warrant through the Circuit Court.

Terry Edward Jones (Age 43 of Baltimore, Md.) was arrested by Deputy Martin Mumper for Violation of Probation.

Sherry Lynn King (Age 31 of No Fixed Address) was arrested by Deputy Harold Young on an open warrant for Contempt of Court.

John Anthony Supersky (Age 46 of Great Mills) was arrested for Failure to Pay Child Support.

Joshua Alexander Mason (Age 23 of Clements) was arrested for an open warrant through the District Court. The Suspect had stabbed a family member one (1) time in the side before stealing a cellular phone. Suspect Mason was charged with Assault First and Second Degree, Armed Robbery and Theft under $500.00.

Kevin Price (Age 49 of Washington D.C.) was arrested on a St. Mary's County Grand Jury Indictment. The charge was related to a burglary that was investigated by Detective David Alexander. The arrest was made by Deputy Harold Young.

Richard Butler (Age 25 of No Fixed Address) was arrested by Deputy Patrick Handy for two (2) outstanding warrants. One of the warrants was for Trespassing in a Lexington Park community he was ordered to stay out of and the second was a warrant for Violation of Probation in Prince George's County.

John Francis Stewart (Age 49 of California, Md.) was arrested by Deputy Harold Young for Failure to Appear in the District Court of Calvert County.

Joseph Lewis Herbert (Age 50 of Clements) was arrested by Deputy Joseph Somerville for Failure to Appear in the District Court.

Anthony DeJuan Smith (Age 39 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Harold Young for Failure to Appear.

Michelle Lynn Cundiff (Age 35 of Mechanicsville) was charged on a Criminal Summons by Deputy Angela Muller with passing a worthless check having a value of $33.00.

Stephen Wayne Carter (Age 48 of Lexington Park) was charged on a Criminal Summons with Public Intoxication and Trespass. Deputy Muller was the charging Deputy.

Rajendra Charles Solomon (Age 64 of California, Md.) was charged on a Criminal Summons by Deputy Michael George for Violation of a Protective Order.

Ronan Frederick Breaux (Age 44 of Mechanicsville) was stopped for a traffic violation and found to be suspended to operate a vehicle in the State of Maryland. A search incident to that arrest revealed a baggie of marijuana. Deputy Anthony Whipkey was the arresting Deputy.

Stacey Synette Nelson (Age 35 Lexington Park) was arrested on an outstanding warrant through Charles County District Court. Deputy Zorana Sipos was the arresting Deputy.

Maurice Delonete Stoney (Age 40 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy James Stone for Failure to Appear.

Allen Conrad Thompson (Age 29 of Mechanicsville) was charged on a Criminal Summons for Property Destruction. Suspect Thompson destroyed the roadway and adjoining grass, having a value of $285.00. The charging Deputy was William Watters.

K-9 Deputy Todd Fleenor conducted a vehicle stop in off of Great Mills Road and found that the suspect, George Norman Hill Jr. (Age 23 of California, Md.) was intoxicated. Deputy Fleenor's K-9 partner, "Darzan" completed a scan of the vehicle. A positive alert was indicated and inside the vehicle was a quantity of marijuana in a plastic soap holder. Suspect Hill was charged accordingly.

At approximately 3 am Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputies responded to the reported Burglary at a Lexington Park home. Upon arrival Deputy Brian Connelly located the victim inside his home and the suspect was located and detained in the front yard of the residence. The investigation revealed the victim was sleeping when he woke to a subject standing over him. He attempted to flee and the suspect grabbed him by the neck and repeated struck the victim's head on a mirror. Roommates came to the victim's aid and 911 was notified. The suspect believed the victim had spoken to his wife inappropriately. He arrived at the residence, drove onto the front lawn, forced his way into the home and assaulted the victim. The suspect, Patrick John Cosgrove (Age 35 of Hollywood, Md.) was arrested and charged with Felony Burglary, Assault Second Degree and Property Destruction under $500.00.

A 17 year old juvenile was arrested by Deputy Michael George on a "Retake Warrant". The juvenile will be held until a hearing date can be determined.

A 13 year old female from Mechanicsville was stopped by Deputy Joseph Somerville in the area of a Mechanicsville school. The suspect was operating the vehicle without a license and without her mother's knowledge. A second 13 year old female was in the vehicle as well and she was identified as a "friend" of the suspect. The friend was staying the weekend at the suspect's home. The juvenile operator was arrested, processed and released to her parent and is currently awaiting a hearing in the Juvenile Court.

A 17 year old Lexington Park male was arrested by Deputy Michael George after a vehicle stop. The suspect was discovered in the parking lot of a closed business during a routine check. K-9 Deputy Edward Evans and his partner "Yanic" conducted a scan of the vehicle. Several smoking devices and a quantity of marijuana were discovered after a positive alert.

Dfc. Robert Merritt arrested Kellie Marie Darnall (Age 30 of Hollywood, Md) for Driving While Intoxicated.

K-9 Deputy Edward Evans arrested Mary Elaine Young (Age 47 of Lexington Park) for Driving While Intoxicated.

Deputy K. Somerville arrested William Maddox Steelman (Age 53 of Bacliff, Texas) for Driving While Intoxicated.
