PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - Several commercial establishments in Calvert County had their license to sell alcohol suspended in recent months. The actions were determined by the Liquor Board which holds a hearing the 4th Thursday of each month.
The Calvert County Sheriff's Office, in an effort to curtail the sale of alcohol to minors, conducts undercover "checks" of various establishments throughout the county to determine if they are in compliance with obtaining the proper ID from persons buying alcohol.
