St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to the Three Oak Shelter for the disturbance. Upon arrival Deputy J. Kirkner had Suspect Mark John Broda (Age 50) cease his actions that were disturbing to others and go to bed. Within 15 minutes of leaving the Shelter, Deputies were called back for the same suspect, causing a disturbance and disrupting the other members of the home. Suspect Broda was arrested.

A 17 year old Lexington Park juvenile was stopped for a traffic violation by Deputy Michael George in the Park Hall area. A check through MVA revealed the Suspect's privilege to drive was revoked. He was arrested and a search incident to that arrest revealed two (2) baggies of cocaine. He arrested for Driving a Motor Vehicle while Revoked and Possession of Cocaine and released to his guardian.

Gerald Edward Gross (Age 28 of St. Leonard) was arrested by Deputy Jason Maletto for Failure to Pay Child Support.

A 16 year old juvenile male from Dameron was arrested for Violation of Probation by Deputy Shaun Carberry. He will be held at Cheltenham Youth Facility until his hearing in the Juvenile Court.
