Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTIES:

A victim on Bootstrap Court in Lusby reported that sometime between 11:00 p.m. on March 1 and 5:00 p.m. the following day, unknown suspect(s) shot several windows on his home with a BB gun. The damage is estimated at $600. Dep. Edwin A. Bradley is handling the investigation.

Unknown suspects caused $150 in damage by smashing out the passenger side window of a vehicle on Sidewinder Lane in Lusby on March 2 at about 10:30 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Michael A. Jones at 410-535-2800.

Dep. Brian Wendland responded to a home on D Street in Chesapeake Beach on March 3 for a report of destruction of property after the victim noticed someone had spray painted the driver's side door of his vehicle causing $400 in damage.

DISORDERLY CONDUCTS:

On March 3 at 3:00 p.m. Dep. Aaron Locke and DFC Jason Elliott responded to a home on Dares Beach Road for a trespassing complaint with a large group of people. A fifteen year old male and one adult female were both arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Marmeta M. Robinson, 44 of Hyattsville, was charged and the juvenile, of Huntingtown, was charged on a youth report and released to a parent.

Dep. William Milam responded to the Reid Building on Solomons Island Road in Owings on March 3 at 11:52 p.m. for a fight. A large crowd was involved in a physical confrontation. One suspect, Terrance D. Keemer, 18 of Dunkirk, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

CDS VIOLATION:

A 17 year old male of Lusby was pulled over for traffic violations on White Sands Drive and Md. Rt. 4 on March 4 at 3:02 a.m. He was discovered to have suspected marijuana in the vehicle. He was charged with driving without a license and possession of marijuana on a youth report and released to a parent. Dep. Robert Burggraff was the arresting officer.

RESISTING ARREST:

DFC Todd A. Smith responded to the Dunkirk area of Md. Rt. 4 on March 3 at 1:09 in the morning to investigate a possible drunk driver called in by another motorist after the vehicle was observed traveling south in the northbound lanes. DFC Smith located the suspect vehicle traveling eastbound on Md. Rt. 260 in Owings and made a traffic stop. The driver, Kyle Knight, 38 of Leesburg, Va., had a strong odor of alcohol and displayed other symptoms of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He became uncooperative and was sprayed with OC spray for the officer's safety, handcuffed and charged with resisting arrest, hindering a police officer, negligent driving and driving under the influence.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE:

A victim reported to Dep. Mark Fitzgerald that on March 4 between 1:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. she attended a party on Hollowing Point Road in Prince Frederick and discovered that unknown suspect(s) had stolen property out of her vehicle totaling more than $400. Three Nintendo DS Lite games were among the personal property taken. Fitzgerald will continue the investigation.
