Arrests Made In St. Mary's Homicide And Two Armed Robberies


Johntonna Euron Young, 19, from Lexington Park, was charged with the murder and Attempted Armed Robbery of Kenneth Walter from the February 27th incident wherein Walter was shot and killed in front of his residence in Lexington Park. He was also charged with Armed Robbery from the January 13 incident at the Third Base Store in Loveville, and the February 22nd incident at the Tackle Box Store. Police Arrest Photo. LEONARDTOWN, Md. - Police reported that several arrests have been made in the Jan. 13, 2007 robbery at the Third Base Store in Loveville, the Feb. 22, 2007 armed robbery of the Tackle Box store in Lexington Park, and the Feb. 27, 2007 murder of Kenneth Walter that also occurred in Lexington Park. One of the men arrested, Johntonna Euron Young (pictured at top left), has been charged in all three cases.

In the early morning hours of March 3, detectives from the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) arrested and charged the following individuals:

Cruitien Eugene Bryant, 21, from Lexington Park, was charged with 2 counts of Armed Robbery and one count of First Degree Assault from a January 13 incident at the Third Base Store in Loveville, and a February 22 incident at the Tackle Box Store in Lexington Park where the clerks were robbed at gunpoint.

Terrel Antonio Thomas, 21, from Lexington Park, was charged with one count of Armed Robbery from the February 22 incident at the Tackle Box Store.

All three defendants are currently incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention Center.

According to police, the arrests were made based on the results of numerous search warrants and a traffic stop that netted a firearm that was stolen during the Tackle Box robbery. BCI was assisted by the Maryland State Police, and St. Mary's County and Calvert County Sheriff's Office Deputies.
