PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Dep. Moises Velasquez took a report of damaged property from a victim who stated that his vehicle was parked on Frederick Ave in North Beach overnight on February 20 and he noticed scratches on the vehicle in the morning. The damage is estimated at $200. Dep. Velasquez will continue to investigate.
CDS VIOLATION: Cpl. Darron Makrokanis arrested John K. Baione, 21 of North Beach for possession of marijuana after responding to a home on Sea Bass Court in North Beach for a call for conservator of the peace on February 22 at 2:20 p.m. Makrokanis had been advised that Baione may be armed with a handgun and the suspected marijuana was discovered after
a pat-down for weapons, which were not found.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: On February 22 the owner of Bright Beginnings Day Care Center in Owings reported to DFC Christopher Childress that upon arriving at the business at 7:20 p.m. he observed the door slightly ajar. Further examination revealed that unknown suspect(s) attempted to pry open the door to gain entry but were unsuccessful. Nothing was missing from the business and damage is estimated at $50. Childress will continue the investigation.
CDS VIOLATION: On February 22 at 8:00 p.m. Cpl. Darron Makrokanis responded to an alarm call at a home in Chesapeake Beach. The homeowner, Roland D. Pelletier Jr., 43 was present and discovered to be in possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was charged on a criminal citation with posession of drug paraphernalia.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Another vehicle was scratched, this time on Saddle Lane in Lusby between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on February 23. The damage is estimated by the owner to be $2000. Dep. Richard Weems will investigate.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: a victim on Thunderbird Drive in Lusby reported to Dep. Richard Weems that on or about February 10, unknown suspect(s) cut her outside phone line. Dep. Weems will continue the investigation.
