St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

Thomas Edward Cargill (Age 40 of Endicott, New York) was arrested on an open warrant for Violation of a Protective Order. A search incident to that arrest revealed the suspect was in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The arresting Deputy was Jason Maletto.

Kevin Jerome Chase (Age 36 of Great Mills) was arrested by Deputy William Rishel for an open warrant. Suspect Chase failed to appear in the District Court.

Kristel Ann King (Age 23 of Leonardtown) was arrested by Deputy Martin Mumper on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was through Charles County Sheriff's Office and it was related to an Attempted Robbery and Assault. Suspect King attempted to forcibly remove the victim's purse from her possession while in the parking lot of the LaPlata Wal-Mart Store.

Lori Ann Land (Age 38 of Dameron, Maryland) was charged by Deputy Brian Connelly on a Criminal Summons for Possession of Marijuana and a related smoking device.

Jerry Tyrone Everette (Age 21 of Callaway, Maryland) was arrested for Forgery and Theft over $500.00. Suspect Everette passed a check, he knew was stolen and forged and received proceeds from the check. Deputy Marci Faulkner was the investigating and charging Deputy.

Tyshia Sheree Gantt (Age 21 of Mechanicsville) was arrested for two (2) open warrants for Failure to Appear. The arrest was made by Deputy John Logalbo.

James Anthony Tippett (Age 19 of Hollywood, Maryland) was arrested by Deputy Jason Maletto for Failure to Appear.

Willy Gibson (Age 46 of Landover Maryland) was arrested for Failure to Appear in the District Court for St. Mary's County by Deputy Angela Muller.

Patricia Louise Tippett (Age 28 of No Fixed Address) was arrested by Deputy Michael Worrey. Suspect Tippett stole a credit card from a former boyfriend and used it. The theft of the credit card was accomplished by illegal contact with the victim, in Violation of a Protective Order.
Glenn Allen Lokey (Age 38 of Hughesville, Maryland) was arrested as a result of an investigation conducted by Corporal Christopher L. Morley. Suspect Lokey entered the California Store and removed a Carpet cleaner and a microwave from the shelf. He walked directly to the Customer Service Desk and returned them utilizing a receipt from a previous day. The arresting officer was Deputy Robert Gill.

Sheriff's Office Deputy J. Kirkner located an Elderly male in the area of Scotland who appeared disoriented. Deputy Kirkner identified the man as being a 68 year old Grasonville, Maryland resident. The man was reported missing by his son when he failed to return the previous day from a trip to the store. Deputy Kirkner reunited the two at Sheriff's Office Headquarters. The Missing Person had been gone for nearly 24 hours. He was not injured.

Deputy Eric Walker conducted an investigation into who drove their ATV through the front yard of a Mechanicsville home. The grass in the front yard was destroyed. Suspect Matthew Lewis Suite (Age 22 of Mechanicsville) was charged by Deputy Martin Mumper for the offense through a Criminal Summons.

Dale Lavar Waul (Age 27 of Lexington Park) was observed by Deputy Patrick Handy inside a vehicle in the parking lot of a Lexington Park bar. He was found to be in possession of marijuana and additional charges are possible related to a handgun violation.

Wayne William Stone (Age 34 of Mechanicsville) was arrested for Domestic Assault. Deputy Elizabeth Trossbach found that Suspect Stone entered the home of his former girlfriend and the mother of his child, a dispute began. Suspect Stone grabbed the victim by the throat and face and began to choke her. The victim had visible signs of injury on her neck and face. Suspect Stone had fled the residence and was located a short distance away. He was arrested and charged with First and Second Degree Assault.

Diane Louise Taylor (Age 39 of Lexington Park) and Lawrence Taylor (Age 39 of Lexington Park) were stopped for a traffic violation. Once stopped it was found that there were suspensions for insurance violations. A search of the above listed suspects found them to be in possession of crack cocaine and related smoking devices.

Samuel Lee Montgomery (Age 35 of Lexington Park) was charged on a Criminal Summons for Trespassing. Suspect Montgomery was notified to stay off the property of WAWA, and failed to do so.

Samuel Edward Adams Jr. (Age 36 of No Fixed Address) was arrested for open warrants when he was discovered inside an acquaintance's Chaptico home, uninvited. The additional burglary charge was added. Suspect Adams is homeless and knew the owner of the home.

Deputy Kevin Meyer responded to a Lexington Park neighborhood and encountered Mark Wayne Williams (Age 39 of No Fixed Address). The intoxicated suspect continued to be obscene with his language and causing a disturbance. He failed to cease his actions and was placed under arrest. A search incident to that arrest revealed a crack cocaine smoking device. Suspect Williams, who originally gave a false name, was placed in the rear of the marked patrol vehicle. Once in the rear of the vehicle he used both his feet to shatter the rear window. He was charged with various related violations.

Tashibra Nicole Briscoe (Age 27 of Lexington Park) was charged on a Criminal Summons for passing a worthless check. The check was valued at $550.00 and the charges were served by Deputy David Goff.

Deputy Brian Connelly served a Criminal Summons on Jonathan Scott Bush (Age 18 of Lexington Park) Suspect Bush struck the victim in the face, causing injuries.

Kevin Lorenzo Mackall (Age 19 of Lexington Park) was arrested for Failure to Appear by Deputy David Goff.

Lisa Lee Tippett (Age 28 of Leonardtown) was arrested by Deputy David Goff for Failure to Appear.

Deputy Shawn Moses arrested Ronald William Cradle (Age 28 of Lexington Park) for Escape Second Degree. The arrested was due to the Suspect failing to return from Work Release.

Nathan Junior Williams (Age 39 of Great Mills) was arrested by Deputy Timothy White for making a False Statement to Police. The suspect made continued calls reporting a disturbance to 911, knowing the same to be false.

Kevin Michael Thompson (Age 24 of Park Hall) was arrested for Probation Violations by Deputy Christopher Byrd.

Carl Lee Tippett (Age 33 of Brandywine, Maryland) was arrested by Deputy Harold Young for various charges to include Theft Scheme under $500.00, Property Destruction and Rogue and Vagabond.

Francis Matthew Scriber (Age 45 of No Fixed Address) was arrested by Deputy Harold Young for Failure to Appear in the District Court.

Ryan Lee Barber (Age 23 of Mechanicsville) was extradited back to Maryland from the State of Virginia for several violations to include First Degree Assault and Driving While Intoxicated. The Grand Jury Indictment stems from an incident where the suspect pointed a loaded handgun at two individuals. Deputy James Fontana served the warrant.

Deputy Charles Dodson served a Criminal Summons on Shannon Marie Maddox (Age 25 of Owings Mills) for Assault Second Degree. The Criminal Summons was obtained through the Howard County District Court.

Brenda Sue Hill (Age 34 of Mechanicsville) was charged on a Criminal Summons by Deputy Martin Mumper for Telephone Misuse. The misuse stems from a family dispute where threatening calls were placed to the victim.

Larry James Amos Jr. (Age 25 of California, Md.) was arrested after Deputy David Goff responded to his California home for the reported domestic assault. Suspect Amos had assaulted and choked his wife, leaving physical signs of injury.

DRVING WHILE INTOXICATED VIOLATIONS:

Gregory Allen Collins (Age 31 of Streetsboro, Ohio was arrested by Deputy Milton Pesante.

James Kent Wood (Age 46 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy J. Kirkner.

William Austin Hammock (Age 53 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Charles Dodson.

Daniel Decker (Age 44 of Hollywood) was arrested by Deputy Michael Harrision.
