According to police, a 2005 Toyota Highlander was traveling southbound on Point Lookout Road in the area of Winter's Lane in Leonardtown when the vehicle suddenly left the southbound shoulder of the roadway, traveled through a ditch, several front yards and came to rest when it struck a tree. The vehicle was operated by Barbara Matthews Knoeller, 72 of Leonardtown.

There was extensive front end damage to the vehicle.
