St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

Deputy Charles Earle located James Anthony Tippett (Age 19 of Hollywood) and arrested him on an open warrant for Failure to Appear.

Deputy Michael George was a back up officer for a Maryland State Trooper on a vehicle stop, which led to the arrest of the driver. The passengers of that vehicle were intoxicated and a ride was called for them. Officers left the area and within a few moments, the passengers were observed operating the same vehicle traveling southbound on Point Lookout Road in Park Hall. The vehicles lights were turned off to avoid detection. The operator of the vehicle, Ryan Keith Caldwell (Age 25 of Park Hall) exited the vehicle and was aggressively approaching the Officer. The passenger exited the vehicle and also went towards Deputy George. Suspect Caldwell was placed under arrest and Suspect Anthony Scott Anderson (Age 24 of Lexington Park) was held at bay until additional Deputies arrived. He was placed under arrest for Hindering and Failure to Obey a Lawful Order.

Ronald Lee Marconi (Age 38 of Mechanicsville) was charged on a Criminal Summons for Violation of a Protective Order. The charging Officer was Deputy Joseph LaBrack.

Ida Dionne George-Houser (Age 37 of Mechanicsville) was arrested by Deputy Kevin Somerville as a result of a Child Abuse investigation. Deputy Somerville responded to the call for a "911 Hang-up". Once on the scene, he was advised of injuries (bruising) suffered by a child that was in the care and custody of the Suspect. The suspect reportedly struck the victim numerous times in the upper body with a belt. Suspect George-Houser was arrested and charged with Child Abuse and Second Degree Assault.

Howard Arthur Miller (Age 26 of Chaptico) was arrested by Deputy Michael Peacher for Failure to Appear in the District Court of Charles County.

Johnny Van Thompson (Age 44 of California) was arrested by Deputy Oliver Stewart on an eleven (11) count Indictment issued by the Grand Jury of St. Mary's County. The charges range from Assault to Firearms Violations.

Vicky Sue Robinson (Age 40 of Lexington Park) was charged on a Criminal Summons for Failure to Comply with a Peace Order. The charging Officer was Deputy Douglas Harris.

Corduero Lasell Moore (Age 18 of Lexington Park) was charged on a Criminal Summons by Deputy Dale Reppel. Suspect Moore was involved in a fight at school and struck three victims. He was charged with three (3) counts of Assault Second Degree.

Dawn Cherie Mitchell (Age 33 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Kevin Meyer on an open warrant from the Calvert County District Count. The warrant was for Theft over $500.00.

Joey Bernard Miller Jr. (Age 28 of Waldorf, Md.) was arrested on an open warrant for Forgery and Theft over $500.00. The investigation was conducted by Deputy James Stone and the warrant was served by Deputy Timothy Butler.

Gregory Trymen Shingles (Age 20 of Mechanicsville) was arrest by Deputy Kevin Somerville on an open Grand Jury Indictment. The Indictment charges Possession of Cocaine with the intent to Distribute, Two (2) Counts of Assault Second Degree on a Law Enforcement Officer and Possession of Marijuana.

Scott Christopher Gingery (Age 18 of Leonardtown) was arrested by Deputy Randall Wood for Failure to Appear in the District Court for St. Mary's County.

Daven Ambrose Williams (Age 21 of No Fixed Address) was arrested by Deputy Robert Merritt for Failing to Appear in the District Court of St. Mary's.

Adam Terrell Holton (Age 40 of Clinton, Md.) was arrested for Failing to Pay a Court Ordered Fine. The arrest was made by Deputy Jason Maletto).

John Wayne Carter (Age 35 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy William Rishel for Failure to Appear.
