LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) released information regarding an armed robbery at Cook's Liquor in Hollywood, Md., and a drug-related arrest in Lexington Park, Md.
On February 7, 2007 at approximately 9:30 p.m., two black males, wearing all black and ski masks, entered Cook's Liquors in Hollywood Maryland. One suspect brandished a handgun and the other suspect grabbed the cash register. The two suspects then fled with the register and an undisclosed amount of money.

On February 5, 2007, the St. Mary's County BCI Narcotics Unit was contacted by TFC Jeffery Linger from the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack. TFC Linger arrested Michael A. Reed, age 23 of Staunton, Virginia, on drug charges and on an out of state indictment.
At the time of Reeds arrest, he had in his possession 7.3 grams of crack cocaine (street value of $730.00) and 978.72 in U.S. Currency.
During the investigation, it was learned that Reed was residing at the Best Western Motel, located in Lexington Park. A search and seizure warrant was obtained for his motel room. During the execution of the search warrant, the following items were seized: 7.8 grams of Crack Cocaine (Street Value $780.00); a sawed off shot gun; a digital scale with residue; and a cellular phone. These items are in addition to those found on
Reed at the time of his arrest.
Reed was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a hearing with the District Court Commissioner. Additional charges are pending a review with the States Attorney's Office.
