LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.
Sheriff's Office Deputies received information from various sources, to include citizens, that a "problem home" in the Colton's Point area was the sight of an underage alcoholic consumption party. Patrol Deputies responded to home and numerous underage subjects ran from the home, however fifteen (15) were detained and written alcohol citations. The owner of the home, Korey Raymond Posey (Age 19 of Colton's Point) received an additional charge of furnishing alcoholic beverages to minors.
Robert Thomas Thorne Jr. (Age 34 of Charlotte Hall) was charged on a Criminal Summons for Attempted Theft under $100.00 and Property Destruction. The investigation began after the Suspect had attempted to remove the victim's front tag and in the process damaged it. The charges were investigated and served by Deputy Kevin Somerville.
Thomas Edward Kerry (Age 56 of Lexington Park) was charged on a Criminal Summons for Violation of a Protective Order. The investigation and the charges were conducted by Deputy William Rishel.
Deputy Eric Walker charged Dorothy Lynn Vallandingham (Age 26 of Avenue, Md.) on a Criminal Summons for Possession of Cocaine and related Paraphernalia.
Lisa Ann McManus (Age 41 Great Mills) was charged on a Criminal Summons for Assault Second Degree related to her assaulting a juvenile female victim. Deputy Robert Merritt conducted the investigation as well as served the Summons.
Victoria Leasia Saleem (Age 18 of Helen, Md.) was working at a California Department Store as a cashier and used her position to give friends extreme discounts. Most of the items that were marked down were compacts discs valued at about $63.00 for $1.00. The investigation was conducted by Deputy Michael Worrey and the Criminal Summons was served by Deputy Angela Muller.
James Patrick Payne (Age 23 of No Fixed Address) was caught stealing from a co-worker and agreed to pay the stolen money back. He since has been fired and refuses to make the restitution. He was charged on a Criminal Summons for Theft under $500.00 as the total value was $180.00.
Keith Raymond Savoy (Age 21 of Park Hall) was arrested by Deputies Charles Earle and Randall Wood for Failure to Pay Child Support. A search incident to that arrest revealed marijuana and a related smoking device.
Deputy Eric Walker was on patrol in the Charlotte Hall area when he noted a vehicle with an altered registration plate. Two (2) suspects were stopped and identified as Michael Phillip Gumm (Age 49 of Prince Frederick) and Lisa Lynn Green (Age 42 of Prince Frederick). A warrant check revealed both to have open warrants. Suspect Gumm was arrested through a Montgomery County warrant for Failure to Pay Child Support and Suspect Green was arrested for Failure to Appear in the Calvert Court District Court for CDS Possession. A search of the two led to additional charges of Possession of CDS and related smoking devices.
Arthur Berry Allan (Age 53 of Great Mills) was stopped by Deputy Eric Walker in the Loveville area and found that he was in possession of Crack Cocaine.
Shaun Antonio Brown (Age 20 of No Fixed Address) was apprehended by Deputy Harold Young for theft. Deputy Young responded to a California Department Store and arrested Suspect Brown, locating the stolen items and returning them to the store. The value of the theft was less than $100.00
Deputy Jaime Reithmeyer arrested Johnnie William Rains (Age 29 of Lusby) for Failure to Appear on a Theft Crime.
William Maldonado 3rd (Age 19 of No Fixed) was stopped by Deputy Sarah Lacey as she conducted a Crime Prevention Check of the commuter's parking lot in Charlotte Hall. Suspect Maldonado was acting suspicious. As Deputy Lacey spoke to him a pipe cleaning device fell out of his pants leg. An additional search revealed a quantity of marijuana and cocaine.
Victor Charles Brooks (Age 41 of Barstow, Md.) was arrested on an open Bench Warrant through St, Mary's County for Failure to Appear on a Driving While Intoxicated charge. Deputy Robert Russell was the arresting Deputy.
Waverly Lionel Crafton (Age 27 of Lusby) was arrested on an open warrant for Failure to Appear on a Felony Theft charge. The warrant was though the District Court of St. Mary's County. Deputy Michael Harrision was the arresting Deputy.
Stephen Henry McGee (Age 60 of Valley Lee) was arrested by Deputy Robert Merritt for Attachment for Contempt in the District Court. He had a preset bond of $1,000.00 cash.
John Winfield Carter Jr. (Age 30 of Great Mills) was arrested by Deputy John Logalbo on an open warrant for several counts that included Stalking and Harassment.
Community Service Officer (CSO) Deputy Stephen Simonds arrested Lawrence Anthony Bollen (Age 44 of Mechanicsville) for Theft over $500.00, (three counts) and alcohol related driving offenses. The arrest was related to a Grand Jury Indictment that was obtained as a result of an investigation that was conducted by Deputy Todd L. Fleenor.
Deputy Shaun Carberry was conducting a Crime Prevention Check at Chancellor's Run Park and observed several juveniles exit the pavilion area. He stooped then and inquired why they were there when the Park is closed at dark. As he interviewed them he discovered a baggy of marijuana that belonged to a 17 year old Mechanicsville male. The suspect was arrested and released to his parent to await a hearing before the Juvenile Court.
Deputy David Corcoran responded to the reported Trespassing Violation at a Lexington Park residence. Upon arrival he found that the victim had served a notice not to trespass on her daughter's boyfriend in the past. She returned home to find that Suspect Michael Anthony Selerno (Age 21 of No Fixed Address) had entered her home seeking shelter as he is currently without a home. He was arrested for Trespassing and Burglary Forth Degree.
Deputy Angela Muller was conducting a Crime Prevention Check on several Charlotte Hall businesses when she observed a vehicle in the parking lot with four subjects acting suspicious. As she turned to check on them, they attempted to flee the parking area and were stopped. As she spoke to them she noted an alcoholic beverage in the possession of one of the juvenile suspects and further search revealed marijuana. The 17 year old Mechanicsville male was arrested.
