PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
BURGLARY: On 1-26, between 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM, an unknown culprit entered a residence on Delores Ct., Chesapeake Beach, and removed a Sony 65 television. TPR Ewig is handling the investigation.
POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On 1-26, 2:10 PM, TFC Whipp responded to Rousby Hall Rd., Lusby, to assist TFC Murphy with a traffic stop. A computer check revealed that the operator, Paul William Barton, 47, of Lusby, was wanted on an open warrant for failing to appear in court on a violation of probation charge. Incident to arrest, a glass tube containing suspected cocaine was located in the vehicle. Mr. Barton was then charged with possession of cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioners hearing.
MOTORCYCLE THEFT: On 1-26, between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, an unknown culprit entered an unlocked garage on Hoile Ln., Huntingtown, and removed a Honda 50cc motorcycle. TPR Stern is handling the investigation.
BURGLARY: On 1-26, approximately 8:30 PM, an unknown culprit forcibly entered a residence on Parkers Wharf Rd., St. Leonard. An African American male, 5-09, 170 lbs., thin build, was seen running from the scene. TFC Johns is handling the investigation.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 1-27, 2:11 AM, Rt. 2/4, Lusby, TPR Chirichella stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the operator, TPR Chirichella detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and a baggie of suspected marijuana was located. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was Charles Knute Thompson, 21, of Dunkirk. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioners hearing.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 1-27, 2:43 AM, Rt. 261, Chesapeake Beach, TFC Stein stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the operator, TFC Stein observed suspected marijuana in plain view. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was Christopher Michael Smith, 19, of Chesapeake Beach. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioners hearing.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 1-27, 11:05 AM, Rt. 231, Prince Frederick, TFC Whipp stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. A CDS scan was conducted by TFC Murphy and K-9 Remington, who alerted on the vehicle. A search was conducted and suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana was Sean Michael Rice, 19, of Prince Frederick. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioners hearing.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 1-28, 2:38 AM, Rt. 260, Owings, TFC Koch stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, Nicholas Alexander, 29, of Gambrills, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, suspected marijuana was recovered. Mr. Alexander was then additionally charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioners hearing.
