PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
CDS VIOLATIONS
Dep. Kevin Hall observed a vehicle driving erratically on northbound Rt. 4 in Sunderland near Skinners Turn Road on January 25 at 10:00 p.m. After determining the subject was under the influence of alcohol, a search incident to arrest revealed suspected cocaine in the vehicle. Robert W. Smith, 40 of Prince Frederick, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cpl. Anthony Moschetto was patrolling the area of Stamper Court in Prince Frederick at 8:30 p.m. on January 26 when he made contact with a suspicious subject. After gaining consent to search, Cpl. Moschetto discovered suspected marijuana on the subject. He then arrested James E. Mackall III, 25 of Prince Frederick and charged him with possession of marijuana.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY
DFC Michael Naecker responded to a home on Lake Shore Drive in Owings on January 27. The owner of the home advised him that unknown persons had driven a vehicle across his yard sometime between January 23 and 27, causing tire gauge marks in the grass. The exact amount of the damage is unknown.
THEFTS FROM VEHICLES
Unknown suspects took a black winch and winch wiring kit from a work trailer belonging to Scheibel Construction sometime between January 27 and 29. DFC William Milam responded to the business, located at 115 Prospect Drive in Huntingtown and will continue the investigation. The stolen items total over $1400.
A victim reported to DFC Paul Wood that unknown persons had entered his unlocked vehicle and taken approximately $10. It happened overnight between January 29 and 30 on Hallowing Point Road in Prince Frederick.
