LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.
Deputy Milton Pesante was patrolling a Callaway neighborhood when he received a call for possible drug activity. It was at that time a vehicle, without tail lights, quickly exited the complex. Marcus Devon Shorter (Age 19 of Ridge, Md) attempted to exit the front passenger seat of the vehicle and walk away. He, along with the other two occupants were detained. Suspect Shorter was wanted for Failure to Appear and arrested. A search incident to that arrest revealed marijuana hidden on his person. The amount and manner it was packaged indicated intent to distribute. A small amount of cocaine was also recovered. Additional charges are pending a State's Attorney's Office review.
Clayton Aloysius Smith Jr. (Age 25 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Kevin Meyer Failure to Appear.
Kenith Lavern Corbin Jr. (Age 23 of Abell, Md.) was arrested on an outstanding warrant through Worchester County by Deputy Emory Johnson.
Kurtis Eugene Wicther (Age 54 of Chesapeake Va.) was arrested on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant. The warrant was related to Grand Larceny in the State Virginia. Suspect Witcher is currently awaiting extradition.
Feliciano Tolesen Bocage (Age 35 of Baltimore Md.) was arrested by Corporal D.M. Milam for Failure to Appear.
Thomas J. Combs (Age 22 of Hollywood, Md.) was charged on a Criminal Summons for Theft under $500.00. Suspect Combs was at a Sandgates establishment with a group of friends and throughout the day totaled a bill of nearly $200.00. His credit card was declined and he requested time to pay the tab. Since September 23, 2006, he has been contacted several times and still has failed to satisfy the debit. Deputy J. Kirkner conducted the investigation and was the charging Deputy.
