Strong-Arm Robbery in Charles County


LA PLATA, Md. - The Charles County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident report.

STRONG-ARM ROBBERY: On Jan. 8 at 9:25 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Grinder’s Store located at 4450 Chicamuxen Road in Marbury for the report of a strong-arm robbery. Investigation revealed the victim, a 16-year-old Nanjemoy boy who is an employee, was outside when the suspect came from behind the store, assaulted him, stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene. Officers found the suspect at a nearby residence a short time later and arrested him without incident. Carroll Francis Lee, 48, of Marbury was charged with robbery and second-degree assault and was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the district court commissioner.
