MTA Announces Schedule Changes for New Years Holiday


ANNAPOLIS - The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) today announced the following
schedules for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Sunday, December 31, 2006

METRO: Sunday/Holiday schedule. Metro Subway Stations will remain open as late as 1:30 a.m. after the midnight FIREWORKS display ends.

LIGHT RAIL: Sunday/Holiday schedule. The last Light Rail Train will operate as late as 1:30 a.m. after the midnight FIREWORKS display ends.

LOCAL BUS: Sunday/Holiday schedule.

COMMUTER BUS: No service.

MARC TRAIN: No service.

MOBILITY / PARATRANSIT: Regular Service requires 24-hour advance reservation. Holiday schedule. All regular rides are cancelled.

CERTIFICATION OFFICE: Closed.

TRANSIT STORE: Closed.

TRANSIT INFORMATION CALL CENTER: Closed.

Monday, January 1, 2007

METRO: Sunday/Holiday schedule. 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.

LIGHT RAIL: Sunday/Holiday schedule. 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

LOCAL BUS: Sunday/Holiday schedule.

COMMUTER BUS: No service.

MARC TRAIN: No service.

MOBILITY / PARATRANSIT: Holiday schedule. All regular rides are cancelled.

CERTIFICATION OFFICE: Closed.

TRANSIT STORE: Closed.
