LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
On Friday, December 15, 2006 at 1:40 pm, Sgt. Force was patrolling Route 5 in Mechanicsville in her marked MSP K9 unit. Sgt. Force observed a Ford Taurus traveling northbound Route 5 south of Route 6 in Mechanicsville. The driver was not restrained by the seatbelt. A routine traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, Nicole Renee Mcswain, 18 of Mechanicsville. On the initial contact a plastic bag was observed in the center console area. When Sgt. Force contacted Ms. Mcswain a second time and the plastic bag was not observed. A K-9 scan was conducted and K-9 Maddie alerted on the center console area. TFC Linger conducted a probable cause search and located a plastic bag containing marijuana in the area that K-9 Maddie alerted on. Ms. Mcswain was arrested for possession of marijuana. Two additional bags of marijuana and a CDS smoking device were located on her person. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
On Friday, December 15, 2006 at 3:18 pm, TFC Koch responded to the 44000 block of St. Andrews Church Rd. in California for the report of a burglary. Contact was made with the victim, 58 of St. Mary's City who advised the residence was burglarized. Investigation revealed an unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through a rear door by breaking out the glass. The victim advised there was no sign of anything taken from the residence. Investigation continues.
On Friday, December 15, 2006 at 3:33 pm, TFC Linger was patrolling Route 5 in Mechanicsville when he observed a Honda Accord traveling southbound Route 5, north of Golden Beach Rd. A routine traffic stop was initiated for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver, a black male juvenile, 17, of Cobb Island and the passenger, a white female juvenile, 17, of Cobb Island. TFC Linger observed marijuana in the driver's door pocket. After further investigation, both subjects were arrested for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. They were transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing and later released to a relative of the male juvenile. Investigation continues pending action by juvenile authorities.
On Sunday, December 18, 2006 at 1:18 am, Tpr. Adams responded to the 45000 Shields Court in California for a report of underage drinking. Contact was made with the complainant, a female, 36 of California who advised her 16 year old daughter just returned home from a party intoxicated. Further investigation revealed the suspect, Stefan James Dulemba, 24 of California supplied the alcohol to the juvenile. Both individuals were cited on Civil Citations.
