LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.
Deputy Michael George began an investigation into an alleged theft scheme that was taking place at the California Foodlion Store. The investigation spanned approximately three (3) weeks beginning in the first week of November. Suspect Ilea Rose Rodgers (Age 22 of Hollywood Maryland) was an employee of the establishment and her job assignment was cashier. Suspect Rodgers was charged with Theft under $100.00 and Theft Scheme over $500.00. The total loss to the company was more than $510.00.
Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to St. Mary's College for several complaints of burglary to motor vehicles. More than five (5) vehicles had been entered and items ranging from food to Ipods were stolen. Deputies located a juvenile that was involved in the thefts and identified him as a 17 year old male from Lexington Park. He was arrested and charged with Property Destruction, Rouge and Vagabond and Theft Scheme over $500.00. A second suspect was also identified as Jared Lee Mansfield (Age 18 of Lexington Park). Property belonging to the victims was located in a vehicle utilized by Suspect Mansfield. A search incident to arrest revealed that Suspect Mansfield was in possession of marijuana and illegally in possession of a prescription narcotic. Suspect Mansfield was charged with six (6) counts of Rouge and Vagabond, Theft Scheme over $500.00, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Property Destruction over $500.00.
Deputy First Class Todd L. Fleenor began an investigation into several property destructions that had occurred in the Callaway arrest. While conducting the investigation he identified two (2) persons as suspects. A 15 year old juvenile male from Callaway was arrested and charged with four (4) counts of Property Destruction and released to his guardian. A second suspect, Christopher Joseph Kelly (Age 18 of Callaway) was charged with five (5) counts of Property Destruction. The two destroyed school bus shelters, slashed tires and caused damage to the Take it Easy Campground Laundry area.
Senior Deputy First Class Douglas Mills arrested Borntruth Booker (Age 19 of Lexington Park) for an open St. Mary's County District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear.
