MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

FALSE STATEMENT: On 11-30, 8:30 AM, Ball Rd., St. Leonard, TFC Lass stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator stated that she did not have her driver's license with her and provided TFC Lass with a name. A MVA check failed to show a driver with that information. Further investigation led to the discovery of the operator's real name, and the fact that she did not have a driver's license. Arrested at that time for making a false statement to a police officer was Stacy Ann Booth, 38, of St. Leonard, MD. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner's hearing.

THEFT: On 11-29, between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM, an unknown culprit entered an unlocked vehicle in Dunkirk Marketplace and removed a checkbook and personal items. TPR Towers is handling the investigation.

DISTRIBUTION OF MARIJUANA: On 12-3, 1:00 AM, Rt. 231, Prince Frederick, TPR Chirichella clocked a vehicle traveling 101 MPH. After advising Calvert Control, TPR Chirichella pursued the vehicle and was assisted by Deputy Brown, CCSO. They were unable to locate the vehicle at that time. A short time later, Deputy Brown observed the vehicle leaving the parking area of the College of Southern MD. He initiated a traffic stop on S/B Rt. 2/4 @ Old Field Ln., Prince Frederick. TPR Chirichella responded to the scene. DFC Aurich and K-9 Bean, CCSO, also responded to the area, and a CDS scan was conducted. After alerting on the vehicle, a search was conducted. A baggie of suspected marijuana (20.9 gms.) and 40 jeweler baggies were located in the vehicle. Arrested at that time, for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and several traffic citations, was Wayne Aubrey Jones, 39, of Lusby. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner's hearing.

POSSESSION OF CONCEALED WEAPON: On 12-3, 8:33 PM, Coster Rd., Lusby, TFC Keen came upon a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway. TFC Keen activated his emergency lights, and the vehicle pulled to the shoulder. Upon contact with the operator, John Christopher Pettit, 31, of Lusby, TFC Keen detected the strong odor of alcohol. Mr. Pettit also related to TFC Keen that he had a handgun in the vehicle. A search was conducted and the handgun was located in the driver's side door panel. After securing the handgun, field sobriety tests were conducted. Mr. Pettit was subsequently arrested for DUI and possession of a concealed weapon. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioners hearing.

THEFT: On 12-5, 9:05 PM, TFC Whipp responded to N/B Rt. 2/4 @ Plum Pt. Rd., Huntingtown, for an accident. Investigation revealed that TFC Murphy was stopped at the light in lane 2, when he was struck from behind by another vehicle. A MVA check revealed that the tags displayed on the vehicle had been reported stolen in Upper Marlboro, MD. Arrested at that time for theft (-$100) and DUI was Justine Rae Moschetto-Parrott, 41, of Prince Frederick. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner's hearing.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: On 12-5, 9:24 PM, a masked suspect entered the Prince Frederick Blvd. 7-11 and demanded money. When he did not obtain any, the suspect fled the store and was seen running towards the Chapline Village townhouses. The suspect was described as a white male, 5-06 and 155 lbs. CIT is handling the investigation.
