LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
On November 24, 2006 at 1:30 pm, Tpr Koock was patrolling Rt. 235 in California. She assisted Lt. Cedar with a routine traffic stop in the area of First Colony Blvd. Tpr. Koock and Lt Cedar made contact with the driver, Mary Lee Little, 42 of Lexington Park and she appeared to be under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. Ms. Little exited the vehicle to perform field sobriety tests. A check through MVA revealed her license was suspended and the registration plates on her vehicle were also suspended. She was arrested for driving under the influence and driving while suspended. A search incident to arrest revealed 2 prescription bottles containing Percocet and Ativan. Ms. Little was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for a bond review.
On December 1, 2006 at 12:48 am, TFC Koch responded to the 21000 block of Great Mills Road for a reported armed robbery. Upon arrival contact was made with Stacey Synette Nelson, 35 of Lexington Park. She advised she was robbed by an unknown black male at gunpoint. Further investigation revealed she was making a false report. A check of her name revealed Ms. Nelson was wanted through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department for an open warrant and released to their custody.
On December 2, 2006 at 1:56 am, Tpr. Koock was patrolling Rt 235 area of Rt 5 in Mechanicsville and stopped a Chevrolet pickup truck for routine traffic violation. Contact was made with the driver, Pearl Edith Ford, 42 of Charlotte Hall. A MVA check of her license status revealed she was suspended and she was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed 2 hand rolled cigarettes containing suspected marijuana in her purse. Ms. Ford was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
On December 2, 2006 at 2:50 am, TFC Evans responded to the ABC Liquors in California for an assault. Upon arrival contact was made with the female victim, 31 of Great Mills she advised she was assaulted by the suspect, Michael Douglas Donovan, 35 of Great Mills. After further investigation, Mr. Donovan was arrested for assault and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
On December 2, 2006 at 7:30 am, TFC Laney responded to a report of malicious destruction of property in the 26000 block of Mill Seat Drive in Mechanicsville. Upon arrival contact was made with the male victim, 50 of Mechanicsville who advised the rear window of his Ford Taurus was broken out. A neighborhood check was made and the investigation continues.
On December 5, 2006 at 12:25 am, TFC Trossbach was patrolling in the area of Old Village Road in Mechanicsville when he stopped a Toyota Camry for routine traffic violation. Upon contact with the driver, Amanda Marie Cox, 27 of Bel Alton, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from her breath and person. She was subsequently arrested for DWI/DUI. Search incident to arrest revealed a partially burnt cigar containing suspected marijuana. Ms. Cox was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending bond review.
