MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

On Friday, November 24, 2006 at 3:30pm, Cpl Redmond received a call for the theft of a mailbox from the 43000 block of Pine Ridge Court in Hollywood. No further information is available and investigation continues.

On Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at 6:00pm, TFC Linger responded to the McKay's Foodland on Great Mills Rd. in Lexington Park. Upon arrival contact was made with the complainant, an employee of the store who advised the suspect, Christopher Scott Lacey, 21 of Lexington Park was detained for stealing a box of steamed shrimp from the store. Mr. Lacey was arrested and transported to St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 2:45pm, TFC Linger responded to an assault at the Wendy's parking lot in Charlotte Hall. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female victim, 27 of Piney Point. She advised she was assaulted by a male, 31 of Lexington Park. Investigation continues.

On Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 11:56pm, TFC Trossbach was patrolling the area of Cedar Lane Road in Leonardtown when he observed and stopped a Hummer H3 for suspicious activity. Upon contact with the driver, Neal Nick Leva, 32 of Leonardtown, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. Mr. Leva was arrested for DWI. Search incident to arrest, a plastic pouch of marijuana was observed in the vehicle and both Mr. Neva and the passenger, Victor L. Thomas, Jr., 24 of Leonardtown were arrested for possession of marijuana. Both subjects were transported to St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
