MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

On Friday, October 20, 2006, TFC Rezza took a report for a Trespassing complaint at the WAWA on Rt 235 at Rt 4 in California. The suspect used the name of Linda Inez Goldring, 50 of Chaptico. On November 1, 2006 the suspect failed to appear in District Court for the case and a bench warrant was issued for her arrest. On November 7, 2006, TFC Rezza responded to the address in Chaptico and it was learned then that the name used was that of her mother and the suspect's true name is Tanya Anita Hall, 30 of Chaptico. A new warrant was issued for Trespassing and False Statement to Police Officer and False Statement causing initiation if a police investigation. Suspect Hall was arrested on November 7, 2006 in Waldorf and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center in Leonardtown pending a bond review.

On Friday, November 17, 2006 at 10:24 am, TFC Quade responded to St. Clements Medical Care office in Leonardtown for the reported disturbance. After further investigation, the suspect, Joshua James Hixson, 26, of Hollywood, was arrested for prescription fraud. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center in Leonardtown where he was being held for bond review.

On Friday, November 17, 2006 at 11:30 pm, TFC Linger was patrolling in Mechanicsville area. A traffic stop was initiated on Honda passenger car for exceeding the posted speed limit on Laurel Grove Road/Holt Road. As TFC Linger approached the vehicle, he detected a strong odor of burnt Marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The driver, James Roy Chase 2nd, 19 of Mechanicsville, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Chase was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and was held pending a bond review.

On Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 12:36 pm, TFC Quade was patrolling Rt 246 in Lexington Park when he observed a Subaru station wagon exceeding the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was initiated in a parking lot off Liberty Street. Contact was made with the driver, Kristen Kaye Burney, 22 of Lexington Park. A check through MVA revealed that Ms. Burney's driving privileges were suspended in the State of Maryland. She was placed under arrest for driving on a suspended license. A bag of marijuana was found on her person and she was also charged with possession of marijuana and taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for bond review.

On Saturday, November 18, 2006 at approximately 10:50 pm, TFC Linger was patrolling the California area when he conducted a routine traffic stop on a Toyota Corolla for exceeding the posted speed limit on Patuxent Beach Road, California. Contact was made with both the driver and juvenile passenger. Upon second approach of the vehicle, a small cellophane bag containing marijuana was observed. The juvenile passenger, 16 of St. Leonard was arrested and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack where he was processed and released to his father. Case is being forwarded to Juvenile Services for disposition.

On Sunday, November 19, 2006 at 1:37 am, TFC Linger responded to the Burke's Mobile Trailer Park in California for the reported suspicious vehicle parked in front of a trailer. TFC Linger arrived, observed the vehicle, and made contact with the driver, Frederick Douglas Parker, Jr., 48 of Callaway and the passenger, Joan Marie Jones, 36 of Lexington Park. Both Mr. Parker and Ms. Jones were arrested for possession of "crack cocaine" and possession of CDS paraphernalia and held pending a bond review.

On Sunday, November 19 2006 at 10:19 am, a criminal summons was served on Mr. Aleksandr Petukhov, 24, of Sandy Springs, as a result of the First Degree Assault which occurred on October 22, 2006 at Point Lookout State Park.

On Sunday, November 19, 2006 at 5:21 pm, TFC Trossbach was patrolling Rt 5 Loveville area when he stopped a Toyota Tacoma for exceeding the posted speed limit in the area of Route 5 and Third Base Store. Henry Robert Wilkins 2nd, 21 of Charlotte Hall was arrested for possession of Marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia and incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center in Leonardtown pending a bond review.
