CALVERT COUNTY GOVERNMENT
The Appeal Landfill and all compactor sites will be closed Thanksgiving day, November 23, and reopen and fully operational under normal/standard operating hours on November 24, the day after Thanksgiving.
The Calvert Marine Museum will be remain open.
All other Calvert County agencies and departments, including public transportation will not be working on Thanksgiving day.
CHARLES COUNTY GOVERNMENT
The Charles County Commissioners will not be in session on Tuesday, November 21, 2006.
The offices of Charles County Government and the Tri-County Animal Shelter in Hughesville, Maryland, will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24, 2006.
The Charles County Landfill, Recycling Center, and Composting Facility on Billingsley Road East, Waldorf, and the Pisgah Recycling Center, off Route 425 in Pisgah, will be closed on Thursday, November 23, 2006, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The every-other-week curbside recycling collection and weekly yard waste collection services schedule will be as follows: Thursday A will be served on Friday, November 24, and Friday A will be served on Saturday, November 25.
ST. MARY'S COUNTY
St. Mary's County Government Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 23, 2006 and Friday, November 24, 2006, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. County offices will re-open on Monday, November 27, 2006.
The St. Andrews Landfill, six (6) Convenience Centers and St. Mary's Transit System (STS) will be closed on Thursday, November 23, 2006 and will re-open Friday, November 24, 2006, for normal business hours.
Also, all three St. Mary's County Public Libraries will be closed at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, and all day on Thursday, November 23, 2006. The libraries will re-open Friday, November 24, 2006, for normal business hours.
MTA COMMUTER BUS
Schedule changes for MTA Commuter Bus services on November 22, November 23 and November 24, 2006 are as follows:
On Wednesday, November 22, 2006 the MTA will operate on an amended schedule (see below).
On Thursday, November 23, 2006 the MTA will NOT conduct service on any Commuter Bus Route.
On Friday, November 24, 2006 the MTA will operate on a Holiday Schedule.
Wednesday, November 22, 2006 All morning service will operate per the normal schedule.
AMENDED SCHEDULE FOR WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON: The MTA expects many patrons will choose to leave early on the day before Thanksgiving and therefore, we are modifying many of our bus schedules for November 22, 2006, in an effort to accommodate an anticipated early rush. The following changes will be implemented on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 22, 2006.
Route 901 Trip 43 and trip 47 will not operate. Instead, two buses will run the mid-day trip (trip 27) and two buses will run the first PM trip (trip 28).
Route 902 Trip 27 and trip 30 will not operate. Instead, two buses will run the mid-day trip (trip 17) and two buses will run the first PM trip (trip 18).
Route 903 No changes (will run regular service).
Route 904 Trip 19 and trip 21 will not operate. Instead, two buses will run the mid-day trip (trip 13) and two buses will run the first PM trip (trip 14). Trip 14a will terminate at Pindell and trip 14b will continue on to North Beach.
Route 905 Trip 36 and trip 39 will not operate. Instead, two buses will run the mid-day trip (trip 22) and two buses will run on the first PM trip (trip 23). Trip 23a will terminate at Charlotte Hall and trip 23b will continue on to California.
Route 907 No changes (will run regular service).
Route 909 No changes (will run regular service).
Route 913 Will run regular service. There will also be 2 special trips added departing Branch Avenue Station at 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM.
Route 915 Trip 16 will not operate. Instead, two buses will run on trip 10. Trip 10 will run as scheduled and trip 10a will continue on to Lotte Plaza if necessary.
Route 921 No changes (will run regular service).
Route 922 Trip 17 will not operate. Instead, two buses will run on trip 10. Note, one of these buses will be designated to serve Kent Island.
Route 929 Trip 22 and trip 26 will not operate. Instead, two buses will run on trip 17 and two buses will run on trip 18.
Route 950 Trip 17 will not operate. Instead, two buses will run on trip 14. Note, one of these buses will be designated to serve Kent Island.
Route 995 Trip 26 will operate 3 hours earlier than scheduled, departing 19th and M Streets at 2:30 PM and will make all stops.
