MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: During the overnight hours of 11-5, an unknown culprit used a pumpkin to destroy a mailbox along Stephen Reid Rd., Huntingtown. During the overnight hours of 11-11, a pumpkin was used to destroy a mailbox on Calvert Beach Rd., St. Leonard.

BURGLARY: On 11-8, between 7:30 AM and & 7:45 AM, an unknown culprit forcibly entered a residence on Canyon Ct., Lusby. At this time, nothing has been reported stolen. TPR Roy is handling the investigation.

THEFT: On 11-10, between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, an unknown culprit removed a cooler of beer and liquor from the porch of a residence on Eagle Pt., Lusby. TFC Lashley is handling the investigation.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 11-11, 10:15 PM, H. G. Trueman Rd., Lusby, TPR Towers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A computer check revealed that the tags displayed on the vehicle were expired; and the operator, Sommer Lee West, 21, of Lusby, was driving on a suspended license. Incident to arrest, two CDS smoking devices containing suspected marijuana were located in Ms. West’s possession. She was then charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 11-12, 1:55 AM, Rousby Hall Rd., Lusby, TPR Laziuck stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle, the odor of suspected marijuana was detected by TFC Keen. The operator, Wesley Brandon Grider, 21, of Lexington Park, was then found to have a baggie of suspected marijuana on his person. He was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana. A passenger in the vehicle, Michael Brandon Cervenak, 20, of Lexington Park, was found to be wanted by the St. Mary’s Co. Sheriff’s Office. He was taken into custody by TFC Lass and relayed to St. Mary’s County. Mr. Grider was processed and transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
