PLATA, Md. - The Charles County Sheriffs Office and Charles County Crime
Solvers are asking for the publics assistance in identifying the suspect
involved in a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of Village Square
Shopping Center in Waldorf on Oct. 26. The Sheriffs Office today released a
sketch of the male suspect. The suspect was also accompanied by a female. Actual
surveillance photographs can be seen in a
previous article
that was published on Nov. 01.
At 6:47 p.m. on Oct. 26, officers responded to a parking lot in the 3600 block of Leonardtown Road in Waldorf, and found the victim, a 34-year-old Waldorf/Suitland man who had been shot multiple times. He was flown by a Maryland State Police helicopter to Prince George Hospital Center, where his condition is improving.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20's and was wearing dark clothing. He was accompanied by a black female and they may have been operating a blue or dark-colored Chevrolet Trailblazer.
