I would like to say, "Thank You" to everyone who supported me in the election as well as the past four years as Sheriff of St. Mary’s County. I will be leaving Office knowing that I leave the Sheriff's Office in good shape and in capable hands. The men and women of the Sheriff's Office (sworn, corrections and civilian) should be proud of the job they do every day for the citizens of St. Mary's County and I am proud of them for the work they do.
I have no regrets from the election, as I believe my committee members and I ran as good a race as possible and would do it the same if I had it all to do over again. I look forward to a new path in life and I have had a great career in law enforcement with a grand ending as Sheriff.
Public service as an elected official is not easy and you are never able to please everyone. I congratulate Tim Cameron in his election victory and wish him the very best as the next Sheriff of St. Mary’s County.
