MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 10-27, 4:15 PM, TPR Laziuck responded to Rt. 2/4, Prince Frederick to assist CPL Moschetto, CCSO, with a motorist who had broken down. Investigation led to the discovery of a CDS smoking device containing suspected marijuana in the vehicle. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia were Joseph Albert Nelms, 29, of Hughesville, and Richard Scott McGhee, 26, of Waldorf. After processing, they were transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 10-31, 12:53 AM, TPR Chirichella stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After detecting the odor of suspected marijuana, a K-9 scan was conducted by Deputy Smith, CCSO. During the scan, a baggie of suspected marijuana was located on the operator, Steven Allen Dailey, 20, of Ft. Washington. Mr. Dailey was placed under arrest at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
