Soldier from Waldorf Dies in Afghanistan


WASHINGTON - The Department of Defense announced yesterday the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Pvt. Michael V. Bailey, 20, of Waldorf, Md., died on Oct. 27, 2006 in Salerno, Afghanistan, from non-combat related injuries. Bailey was assigned to 4th Battalion, 25th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York.

This incident is under investigation.
