LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today announced the following incidents and arrests.
Joseph Aloysius Young, age 51 of Lexington Park, was arrested for Second Degree Assault. Deputy David Corcoran arrived at a Lexington Park business for the reported domestic dispute. Peggy Shelton (Lexington Park) was located and found to be suffering injuries related to the assault. The victim and suspect are live-in boyfriend and girlfriend.
Robert Leroy Mauk Jr., age 64 of California, Maryland, was charged on a Criminal Summons for five (5) counts of indecent exposure. Suspect Mauk, a registered sexual offender, has continuously exposed himself to the neighborhood children. The Summons was served by Deputy David Corcoran. The investigation was conducted by Deputy David Yingling.
William Gregory Murphy, age 37 of King George, Virginia, was arrested by Deputy Kevin Meyer for a Charles County Bench Warrant related to a Failure to Appear.
David Joseph Lapin, age 46 of Lexington Park, was charged on a Criminal Summons for repeated telephone calls to an undisclosed victim. The suspect was charged by Deputy Eva Snyder.
Howard Arthur Miller III, age 25 of Maddox, Maryland, was arrested by Deputy James Fontana. The warrant was a Circuit Court Warrant for "Material Witness".
Myron Dewayne Smith, age 35 of Lexington Park, was arrested by Deputy Jay Kirkner for Failure to Appear on a Felony Theft case.
Paula Marie Brooks, age 34 of Great Mills, was arrested by Deputy Charles Earle for Bad Check.
Horace Melvin Robinson, age 49 of Lexington Park, was arrested by Deputy Randall Wood for Assault Second Degree.
