St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, MD—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office made the following arrests during the dates of October 9th and 10th.

Julie Branson Poteat-Age 29 of Hollywood, Maryland was served with a Criminal Summons by Deputy William Kile for Second Degree Assault. Deputy Kile conducted the investigation as well as completed the charges.

William James Heflin-Age 38 of Lexington Park was arrested on an open warrant by Deputy Michael George for Failure to Appear in the District Court for Calvert County.

Kimberly Leighanne Figgins-Age 18 was arrested by Deputy Shawn Moses for Theft under $100.00. Deputy Moses responded to a Lexington Park business and located the Suspect with stolen merchandise (More than $10.00 in Candy) in concealed on her person.

Jermaine Lynell Young-Age 25 of Lexington Park was arrested by Deputy Keith Moritz for possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Marijuana). Deputy Mortiz was investigating a "Shots Fired" call in Lexington Park. He was in the area and three (3) vehicles fled. He was able to stop two (2) of the three vehicles and noted that the occupants were holding baseball bats. As the investigation continued Deputy Moritz located a quantity of marijuana on the person of Suspect Young.

William Jerome Swales-Age 27 of Lexington Park was arrested by Corporal Christopher Morley for an open warrant. The warrant was a Violation of Probation warrant through the Department of Corrections.

Deputy David Yingling arrested William Johnson Hall (Age 46 of Callaway, Maryland) for Driving While Intoxicated. Suspect Hall remained uncooperative through the entire process. Once at the Detention Center the Suspect began to spit on Deputy Yingling and was charged with the criminal offense of Assault Second Degree.

Joseph Leon Davis-Age 26 of Lexington Park was arrested during a traffic stop by Corporal Christopher Morley. It was discovered that there was an open Circuit Court warrant for the Suspect for Failure to Pay Child Support. A search of the vehicle was conducted and located inside was a handgun, which the Suspect was charged for.

Harry Leo Kline III-Age 43 of Hughesville, Maryland was arrested by Deputy Joseph L. Somerville for an open Circuit Court warrant related to Failing to Appear.
