Truck Driver Dies in Single Vehicle Accident Near Sunderland

On Friday, October 6, members of the Calvert County Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to the area of Rt. 2 and Wayside Drive in Sunderland for the report of a motor vehicle crash. Preliminary investigation shows that a 2006 International truck was traveling south on Rt. 2 and left the roadway for an unknown reason. The truck veered into a wooded area and rolled onto its’ side. The driver, identified as Alan Creek, 48 of Baltimore, was transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The crash is still under investigation.
