St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


The following are arrests that were made on October 4th, 2006 by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Marquis Lamont Berry-Age 20 of Leonardtown was charged on a Criminal Summons for a Second Degree Assault offense. The investigating Deputy was Deputy Smolarsky and the charging Officer was Deputy Marci Faulkner.

Jacobi Synon Powell-Age 24 of Lexington Park was arrested by Deputy Marci Faulkner on various charges. Suspect Powell forcibly entered the victim’s residence, a former girlfriend, and assaulted her. The victim was found by Deputies bleeding from the ear and nose. Suspect Powell attempted to strangle the victim and as she got away, he bit her. Deputies located Powell and he was charged with First Degree Burglary, Assault First and Second Degree, Robbery and Property Destruction.

Timothy Patrick Pumphrey-Age 47 of Mechanicsville was charged on a Criminal Summons with several counts of Disturbing the Peace. The charges stem from loud music at his Mechanicsville home that continuously disturbed his neighbors. The arresting Officer was Deputy Joseph L. Somerville.

Joshua Michael Stone-Age 23 of Mechanicsville was arrested and charged with Theft over $500.00. Suspect Stone stole a play station and games from an undisclosed victim. The arresting Officer was Deputy William Kile.

Jeffrey Wayne Hyde-Age 28 of Mechanicsville was charged on a Criminal Summons by Deputy James Stone for Violation of a Protective Order.

Charles MacAthur Smith-Age 39 of Capitol Heights was arrested on an open warrant by Deputy Kevin Somerville for Escape Second Degree.

Joseph Wayne Dodson-Age 45 of Mechanicsville was arrested by Deputy Kevin Somerville for an outstanding warrant through Calvert County, Maryland.

Richard Issac White-Age 35 of Bryans Road was arrested for a Grand Jury indictment related to felony drug charges. The arresting Officer was Deputy James Fontana.

Joseph Michael Englerth-Age 20 of California, Maryland was arrested on an open warrant related to a Second Degree Assault. The arresting Officer was Deputy Shawn Moses.
