MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


On Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 5:30 pm, Tpr. B. McCartney responded to the 27000 block of Three Notch Road, Mechanicsville, for a reported burglary. Investigation revealed that while the victim was on vacation, a subject broke into the residence and stole 13 rolls of quarters and a cup of quarters. The scene was processed for evidence and the investigation is continuing.

On Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 3:17 pm, TFC R. Rezza initiated an investigation into a burglary at the State Highway Administration Storage Facility in Leonardtown. The scene was processed and the investigation is continuing.

On Friday, September 29, 2006 at 5:07 pm, TFC J. Linger was patrolling Laurel Grove Road at Route 235, Mechanicsville, when a vehicle made an improper turn almost striking the patrol vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Jackie Pixley, 41, of Mechanicsville. A check through MVA indicated Mr. Pixley had no license and his privilege to drive was revoked. He was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest recovered a “marijuana cigar” between the passenger seat and door. The passenger, Jerome Antonio Herbert, 20, of Mechanicsville, was placed under arrest. A further search revealed an expandable baton in the center console. Mr. Pixley was charged with driving while revoked and possession of a concealed deadly weapon. Mr. Herbert was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Both were taken to the detention center and held pending a bond review.

On Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 1:40 pm, TFC L. Nims initiated an investigation into a burglary on Bayview Road in Coltons Point. The victim advised that a subject had entered his residence and stole a check. The subject then attempted to cash the check at businesses in the Coltons Point area. The investigation is continuing.

On Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 8:00 pm, TFC M. Grimes initiated an investigation into the theft of solar lights from a residence on Hermanville Road in Lexington Park. The victim advised that twelve solar lights had been taken from their driveway sometime between September 26, 2006 and September 30, 2006.

On Sunday, October 1, 2006 at 4:20 pm, TFC J. Linger responded to the Easy Car Wash to assist DFC Trossbach with a suspicious vehicle. DFC Trossbach advised a check through MVA indicated the tags displayed on the Buick, belonged on a Chevrolet, and the tag was suspended with an outstanding pick up order. Contact was made with, Robert Lee Jupiter 3rd, 24, of Chaptico. Upon contact with Mr. Jupiter, TFC Linger detected an odor of burnt marijuana. A probable cause search revealed a partially burnt marijuana cigar in his pants pocket. Mr. Jupiter was placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana. He was taken to the detention center and held pending a bond review.
