CARJACKING: On Sept. 21 at 9:03 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Tanglewood Drive in Waldorf for the report of a carjacking. Investigation revealed the victim, a 55-year-old Waldorf man, was sitting in his vehicle in front of his residence when he was approached by two suspects who brandished a handgun and ordered him out of the vehicle. The victim complied. The suspects stole the victim’s wallet and fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle is described as a gray 2007 Chrysler 300 with Maryland tags A085116. The first suspect is described as a black male wearing a gray and white shirt and a dark ball cap. The second suspect is described only as a male. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Cpl. C. McCue is investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY: On Sept 21 at 1:43 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Pinefield Liquors located at 12545 Mattawoman Drive in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed two suspects entered the store. One suspect jumped over the counter, struck an employee with a handgun and began taking money from the register. The second suspect walked to the rear of the store, where the store owner confronted him. The store owner fired one shot from his handgun but missed the suspect. The first suspect jumped back over the counter and both suspects fled the scene. Both suspects are described as black males wearing black jackets. They were last seen in a gold newer model SUV-style vehicle traveling north on Crain Highway into Prince George’s County. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Det. T.
